I am an ideal candidate for laser hair removal. I have light skin, dark and coarse hair and a lot of it. And truth be told, laser hair removal is something that was on my must-try list since I was a teenager. But, as with most cutting-edge beauty techniques, the cost was a bit prohibitive, when I was a teen and student in my early twenties. But I grabbed a sale at Awad Medical. Eventually, I did decide to get laser hair removal on my legs and bikini area. I can safely say (as someone who now wears shorts whenever I can) it was money well spent!!!

It saved me so much time (shorter showers, less time deciding on what to wear, no bikini touch ups for a quick pool party), money (I’m factoring shaving, waxing) and less stress (I always stressed that in the hot summer months I would be showing my hairy, red, bumpy legs or folliculitis which resembled “some kind of rash” from shaving my bikini area). It was liberating!

Did I mention that I an an ideal candidate for laser hair removal, but the biggest advancement in this technology (DiolazeXL by InMode) is that more people are candidates for the procedure. It used to be that people of colour wouldn’t be, but with more precise and better quality machines, such as DiolazeXL (not IPL - I’ll leave a link to explain the BIG difference) - it’s accessible to people of all skin tones and hair types. Which is why it’s more important than ever to go to a reputable place that has the latest and greatest technology. There are risks involved with laser hair removal (namely, burning the skin) and so you want to go to a place that is highly recommended and has highly trained people doing these procedures - like Awad Medical.
I have been liberated from the razor, waxing, and visits to the doctor for “bumps” and overall love the feeling of smooth legs (something I never had) and the freedom to “get up and go”. I’ve been enjoying my hair-free summer by the pool just the way I always dreamed!
