Please read for course offerings. All courses will be offered in a 2-part method of pre-requisite independent learning and an in-person theory and practical experience.  All students who attend and complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion. All courses are taught by Cathy Awad, MN, NP (PHC), a Nurse Practitioner and Canada-wide instructor, certified in advanced cosmetic injectables. Courses are offered in Tecumseh, Ontario. Should you wish to have the learning experience at your clinic, please contact us to discuss availability and cost which will differ from the posted rates. Small class ratios. Lots of practical learning opportunities.

Introduction to Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler course $2999

The duration of the course is 2 days with pre-requisite independent learning of approximately 20 hours of self-paced learning prior to in person theory and practicum.  This course covers best practices on cosmetic injectables and practices in Ontario, Canada.   The intensive course covers the theory and practical fundamentals of skin anatomy, skin aging, neuromodulators (botulinum toxins), and introduction to neurotoxin and dermal fillers. Lip augmentation will be taught in full with full practical learning experiences. Classes offer a low ratio of instructor to student and 2 days of practical experience, each student getting the opportunity to use real products with live clients and in real time.  Students will learn the fundamentals of injecting, proper assessment, documentation, application of product, follow up and emergency/adverse reaction management of common injectables. Additional resources (book) are required for purchase at the student's expense (not greater than $200). 

 

Advanced Botulinum Toxin & Dermal Filler $3499

This course is geared towards the introduction of advanced botulinum toxin (neuromodulators) for the aesthetic injector that has a foundation in the basics of injection or students requiring refresher for previous learned experiences with advanced injection techniques. Independent learning of up to 20 hours of self-paced learning occurs prior to in person theory and practicum. Treatments and applications to be taught include but not limited to: nasolabial folds, marionette lines, jawline, chin, temples, gummy smile, lip flip/smokers lines, under eye, chin, platysma bands, nasal regions with neurotoxin and/or dermal filler.  Pre-course materials and in person live demo training included with real products. This course is geared towards the aesthetic injector that has a foundation in the basics of injections or students requiring a refresher for previous learned experiences with dermal fillers. Cannula and needle technique for all dermal filler applications will be discussed in theory and practicum. Additional resources (book) are required for purchase at the student's expense (not greater than $200)

 

Belkyra (aka Kybella - deoxycholic acid Adipose Tissue Injections $849

This course comes with pre-course theory material is geared towards Nurses, Physician Assistants, Medical Doctors who wish to learn the concepts of non-surgical fat reducing injections. Students will learn anatomy, assessment, evaluation and treatment of submental fullness, and specific body applications. Practicum will include live injections by students. 

Introduction to Sclerotherapy $849

This practical course with 2 hours of pre-course material is geared towards Nurses, Physician Assistants, Medical Doctors who wish to learn to concepts of spider vein treatment into their practice.  Students will learn anatomy and physiology of lower extremity veins, vein physiology and issues, assessment and evaluation and cosmetic indications for treatment, products: dilutions, and application of, injection techniques, complication management.

 

Introduction to Mesotherapy with HA (hyaluronic acid) and PRP (platelet rich plasma) & Specialty Applications $999

This course is geared towards Nurses, Physician Assistants, or Medical Doctors who wish to learn concepts of micro-needling with HA (hyaluronic acid), PRP (platelet rich plasma) or other applications such as exosomes, vitamins, amino acids, etc. Mesotherapy techniques will be taught as well.  Students will learn independently prior to the in person theory and practicum. Hands on practice will include live models and will focus on evidence-based treatment considerations. Areas of treatment will include: skin rejuvenation of the face, neck, décolletage and hands and for scalp for hair rejuvenation.  Students will be taught applications: micro-needling with pen, manual injectable techniques, alternative mesotherapy applications and cannula techniques.

Medical Direction (fees determined based on need)

As a Nurse Practitioner, Cathy Awad, MN, NP (PHC) provides medical direction to RPN, RN, PA, medical aestheticians and medical spa owners. To work as an independent contractor, as an aesthetic injector, certain disciplines require a Medical Director to give orders, set up accounts with companies, assist with the procurement of products, provide mentorship and ongoing learning opportunities.
